Safi Ullah Shahwani belongs to the Shahwani tribe of Brahvi speaking Baloch. He holds a Master Degree in Political Science from University of Balochistan. He was born and raised in District Mastung, Balochistan. His parents shifted to Quetta when he was only 10 and since then Quetta has been his second home. Since his student age, he worked part time in newspapers as sub-editor, reporter and translator while also continuing his education. He is currently working as a government officer for Government of Balochistan Pakistan.
